  • Hyoid Bone- The Hyoid bone is a horseshoeshaped bone situated in the anterior midline of the neck between the chin and the thyroid cartilage.
  • Sternum- Sternum is a long flat bone located in the central part of the chest.
  • Ribs- The ribs cage is the arrangement of ribs attached to the vertebral column and sternum in the thorax.

Arms– The arms are the upper limbs of the body. They are some of the most complex and frequently used body parts. There are a total of 64 bones in the arms.

Each arm consists of four main parts-

  • Upper Arm
  • Forearm
  • Hand

Upper Arm– The upper arm includes the shoulder as well as the area between the shoulder and elbow joint.

Bones of Upperarm-

  • Scapula– The scapula is also called the shoulder blade.
  • Clovide– The clovide is also called the collarbone.
  • Humerus– The humerus is a long bone in the upperarm.

The upper arm also contains several joints-

  • Acromioclavicular Joint– The scapula and the Clovide meet at the joint.
  • Glenohumeral Joint– This is the joint where the scapula and humerus meet.
  • Sternoclavicular Joint– The Clovide connects to the sternum at this joint.

Forearm– The forearm is the area between the elbow joint and the wrist. Its two major bones are the radius and the Ulna.

Hand– Hands are capable of a wide variety of function, including gross and fine motor movements. Each hand consists of 19 bones.

The hand can be considered in four segments-

  • Fingers– Digits that extand from the palm of the hand, the fingers make it possible for humans to grip the smallest of object.
