Earth is the third planet from the Sun. We called it Blue Planet because of 71% water. It is unique planet in our Solar System. Earth is combination of three major sphere Lithosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere and these three major sphere are very important to live in Earth. These three sphere combined and make Biosphere.
Earth have three main Sphere.
- Lithosphere
- hydrosphere
- Atmosphere
- Biosphere
Lithosphere– In Greek language ‘Lithos‘ means ‘Stone’. The solid portion of the earth on which we live is called the Lithosphere. It is a combination of rocks. It is the outermost layer of the earth. This outermost layer is divided into seven continents which are Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe and Australia.
Hydrosphere– Hydrosphere is made from word Hydro and Sphere. ‘Hydro’ means ‘Water’ and ‘Sphere’ means ‘Globe’. Earth is become Blue planet because of the 71% water in the earth surface. This 71% water is the part of the hydrosphere. Ocean, Sea, River, Lake etc are the parts of Hydrosphere.
Atmosphere– Atmosphere is made from word ‘Atmo’ which means ‘Air’. It is a layer which is surrounded the Earth. It is a combination of five layer Troposphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, Thermosphere and Exosphere.
Biosphere– Biosphere is made from word ‘Bio’ which means ‘Life’. We live in Biosphere which is the combination of all three sphere. Lithosphere is outermost layer in which we live. Hydrosphere is the all water in the world. And Atmosphere which is the combination of gases Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide and other gases.
